Amalgamated Colours

And the great battle ensued. Red against blue, green vs black.

Infantry stormed the field, brandishing evidence like paper truncheons while cannons fired streams of accusations into the fray.

As forces clashed, their voices roared, melding into a single cacophony. Flags of their chosen leaders became entangled like failed parachutes and founding principles blurred so that they were no longer distinguishable.

In the end, people stood amongst one another, their voices hoarse and documents in tatters. Some tried to scoop up their beliefs, to recall an argument, but it was futile, like trying to rebuild a forest out of fallen leaves.

They did the only thing they could; dipped a paintbrush in the great pot of amalgamated colours and began to decorate.
